Privacy Notice
This notice explains what we do with your email address when you join the Qmi waitlist at heyqmi.com.
Qmi is a product of Echoes Collective Labs Private Limited (CIN: U62010MH2026PTC471149), a company registered in India.
What we collect
When you join the waitlist, we store:
- Your email address — the one you type into the form
- The date you joined
- A hashed version of your network address — we convert your IP address into a coded value and store the coded value rather than the raw address. We use it only to help prevent automated sign-up abuse.
We don't ask for your name, phone number or other profile information through the waitlist.
Separately, our hosting provider records standard technical information about visits to the site, including IP addresses, as part of running the service and protecting it from abuse.
You give consent by entering your email address in the form on heyqmi.com. We show a notice at that point explaining what we do with it.
Why we collect it
- To email you when Qmi launches, and occasionally about Qmi before then
We do not use your email for anything else.
Who else can see it
We use the following service providers to operate the waitlist:
- Supabase — stores the waitlist
- Resend — sends the emails
- Vercel — runs the website
These companies process data on our behalf to provide their services. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or give it to anyone else for their own marketing purposes.
Where your data goes
Our primary waitlist database is hosted in Japan. Our service providers may also process data in other countries as part of providing their services. We use established providers with standard data protection commitments.
How long we keep it
- Until you unsubscribe, or
- Two years after Qmi launches, whichever comes first
When you unsubscribe, we stop sending you Qmi updates. We may retain limited information needed to record your opt-out and make sure we don't contact you again.
Your choices
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what information we hold about you
- Correct it if it's wrong
- Delete your information
- Stop sending you Qmi updates
You can withdraw your consent at any time. The quickest way is the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email we send. For anything else, write to us using the contact below.
As the applicable provisions of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 come into force, we will provide the rights and grievance mechanisms required by law.

We don't use tracking or advertising cookies on heyqmi.com.
Children
Qmi is not intended for anyone under 18. Please don't sign up if you are under 18.
Changes to this notice
If we change this notice, we'll update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we'll email you.
